    Perfect size for mobile setup

Published by Andrew S. on 28th Nov 2023

Took this on a 4-day public land hunt with my 14 year old son and it was perfect in several scenarios. He was able to easily carry it in himself and it fit in some less-than-ideal spots that a big stand just wouldn't have. I was able to get him in the different trees with this and I ran my saddle/platform with him in the same trees and it worked out awesome. Keep up the great work OOAL!

    lil ambush

I hunt in the mountains of north Georgia mainly on public land I have been doing this for 25 years I have tried every stand imaginable climbers hang one and saddles I have been a hang on guy for about 10 years I did try a saddle but it wasn’t for me. As I started searching for a lighter stand than my lone wolf I came across the lil ambush it fills my needs, it is a small stand but I am 6’1”. 230 and I have no problem sitting in it all day. The lil ambush is the easiest stand to hang that I have found and very quiet I adjust a lot during the day moving with the wind and I can set this thing up quickly and quietly. It would be the perfect stand if it had a leveling adjustment.

This stand is a great lightweight, compact, no nonsense stand for mobile hunters. With a seat cushion I've already completed full day sits no problem. I also use the platform without the seat for saddle hunting and it works just fine, although the support wires can trip you up if you're not paying attention to foot placement. The only thing I came across that was annoying was the mesh size/pattern used. It's different to add any accessories or diy attachment points with the small mesh and the way it's oriented on the edges. I had to cut out pieces and bend them out of the way. Overall a sweet hunting tool for the mobile/versatile hunter.

    Small package

So I ordered my hush well before the season opened and had plenty of time to get it figured out and make it mine. All it took to make it almost perfect was adding some memory foam to the seat. The only thing I'd change would be to make it 1 piece instead of 2. I was able to achieve the 1 piece but I do not believe it was intended to be done. All in a all I love it. My season opened in the beginning of December and have done several half day sits already. It's perfect. I'm 5'7 with size 11 boots and the platform is not even remotely an issue! Do yourself a favor and get one!

    Lil' ambush

For how small the stand is, it is very comfortable. It is small enough to be strapped to about any backpack. Definitely the quietest stand I have ever owned. Bought it this year before the rut and was able to fill my tag out of it.

Be using it soon for Fl archery season. Practiced with it a couple of times using strap on steps. Excellent stand, strong quiet and light for the mobile hunter. It may be to small for some, but I find it comfortable and easy to use.

Great public land tree stand. I’m using 2 shikar sticks with DIY aiders. With 18” rubber gear ties to hold them down. Total weight is 15lbs!!! Worth the money.

Have been practicing with the lil ambush with my single stick saddle set up. Plan to use on all day hunts during the rut.with this small stand set up I can really hunt any tree while using as a saddle platform or if limbs of the tree dictate placement I can use as a standard stand.Great quality and light. Fits on my exo mt gear pack and rides streamline for those long hikes in.
